The phrase, “Don’t give up” can be easier said than done when you’re in the midst of a battle.
I was walking on the treadmill the other day and this is the thought that came to me. I am seemingly going nowhere fast. I can’t really tell day by day, but by being faithful, my endurance adds up by placing one foot in front of the other…as long as I don’t give up.
The same thing holds true when you’re in a battle. When you’re in the middle of it, you feel like you’re bracing against the wind and going nowhere fast. However, without your knowledge, your legs are gaining strength and your heart is building endurance. How do you know that the next step you take isn’t the one that breaks through? If my battle isn’t the one that changes, then I am the one that changes one step at a time…as long as I don’t give up.
